Decorate Your Own Cake in Swindon Duration: 2.5 Hours Class Size: Maximum 3 students The quickest way to go home with a cake you have genuinely made yourself. Your 6 inch cake is baked and stacked before you arrive, so the whole session goes on the part you came for. You will make your own buttercream, crumb coat, apply the final coat, then pipe and decorate it however you like from the colours and sprinkles on the table. Nothing to bring, nothing to prepare, and you leave with a finished cake in a box. What You’ll Do • Make American buttercream from scratch • Colour it, in as many shades as you like • Crumb coat your cake, and understand why that coat matters • Apply and smooth the final coat • Pipe borders, swirls and details • Finish it your way with sprinkles and decorations • Box it up so it survives the journey home What’s Included • A 6 inch cake, baked and stacked ready for you • All the ingredients for your buttercream • Colours, sprinkles and decorations • Piping bags, nozzles, scraper, turntable and everything else • A box to carry your cake home Who This Class Is For Complete beginners who would rather have a proper celebration cake at the end of one short morning than commit to a full day. Anyone who can bake but has never covered a cake properly. And friends booking together, since the class takes three. No experience is required. Good to Know All cakes are a 6 inch vanilla sponge with vanilla buttercream, and flavours cannot be changed after booking. You will be sent recipes for the sponge, buttercream and filling afterwards.
